One sari holds many possibilities. Its flowing body, richly patterned pallu, and distinctive borders can become an Amara Jacket, an Anjali Pallu Shrug, and a Mina Bag.
Every part of a sari offers something to work with. We look for ways to use as much of it as possible, letting its details inspire what comes next. These first three pieces are just the beginning.

Before the first cut, we consider what makes each sari distinctive—where a border might frame the neckline, or how a motif will fall across the back. These choices let the sari guide what it becomes.
Each piece is then individually cut and sewn here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Working in small batches gives us time to pay attention to the details that make each one feel considered.

Experience the colors, feel the silk, and see how each silhouette comes to life on you. Our trunk shows and pop-ups are a chance to explore the collection, try on an Amara, and find something you’ll love wearing.

For years, I looked at the saris my mother and I had collected—chosen with joy, kept carefully and rarely worn—and thought, what if I could make them part of my everyday wardrobe
I began imagining how a sari could become a jacket I’d reach for with jeans, or a piece that made an ordinary day feel a little more special.
The idea of taking a sari beyond its original form isn’t new. What I was looking for was something that felt right for the way I dress now—distinctive, contemporary pieces that could become part of an already well-loved wardrobe.
Chand Collective grew from that wish. It brings together things I’ve always loved: textiles, design, and the pleasure of putting together an outfit that feels like me. I’m building it with care, finding ways for the beauty and craftsmanship of saris to live alongside the clothes we already wear—and creating pieces I hope you’ll make your own.
Because beautiful things take time.
